Storytelling is the oldest form of theatre and the most widely used medium for sharing news. From troubadours to podcasts, we love listening to a well-told story.
Storytelling Factory brings the best storytellers from home and abroad to theatres. Both storytellers who have been building their oeuvre for years and up-and-coming talents just entering the world of storytelling. Sometimes abrasive to comedy, sometimes profound and always in direct connection with the audience.
Storytelling Factory launches in November 2025 with the peerless storytelling performance The Spanking Goddess by Clare Murphy, one of the best storytellers in Europe (and far beyond). In her performance, she brings old, almost forgotten stories in which women play the leading roles. In which she does not shy away from a touch of eroticism, to get the men underneath.
In March 2026, we will present a Dutch-language combination programme, in which master storyteller Sahand Sahebdivani will provide the main programme. He will be preceded by three short narrations by three talents, scouted by our partners: Echt gebeurd, Mezrab – House of Stories and Storytelling Centre.
In the second season, we will once again present a top international storyteller and Rory de Groot will give the second evening’s act.
