Although most European economies are growing, reducing long-term unemployment is still a major challenge within the European Union. While many employment programs focus on improving hard skills, we believe that a lack of soft skills is more often the problem.
From 2018 to the beginning of 2019 we have been able to help a number of (long-term) unemployed people to develop their social, emotional and digital skills through the use of creative methods. Together with our partners, we developed a method to increase the chances on the labor market through storytelling. We focused on acquiring a range of soft skills, such as self-respect, communication skills, self-reflection and collaboration skills.
